Danish typography
Æ, Ø and Å are letters of their own, sorted after Z—not decorations on A, O and E. Æ is not split into AE when ligatures are switched off, Ø is never replaced by 0 or ∅, and names spelled with Aa, such as Aarhus and Aalborg, keep their Aa. Long compounds such as brugergrænseflade are written as one word: no space is added because a line is too narrow, and line-end hyphenation is kept apart from the hyphens a word really contains.
